Mary Dougherty, Executive Director Gulf Coast Builders Exchange
Mary Dougherty is the executive director of the Gulf Coast Builders Exchange. During her career, she has served as Deputy County Administrator for State and Federal Relations in DeSoto County. Originally from N.Y., she holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of South Florida, and also participated in the Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government at Harvard University. Mary is a trustee of the Florida House on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C.
In Sarasota, Mary is on the Board of Teen Court Sarasota and also serves on the Board of Honor Animal Rescue. She was the inaugural recipient of SRQ media’s Women in Business Award. She was also named one of the 25 most influential People in Manatee by Sarasota magazine and has been featured in West Coast Women. The Gulf Coast Builders Exchange is a not-for-profit corporation operating as a trade organization and represents a broad cross section of the building industry, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and others from affiliated industries in Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte Counties.
